We are expanding our Hal Leonard B2B Sales Team and are on the lookout for a proactive and hungry Account Executive with a hunter’s mentality and a passion for new business development. If you love sales, thrive on outbound calls, and are driven to exceed targets, this is the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively generate new business by identifying and engaging potential B2B clients within music industry (music retailers, educational institutions etc.)
- Drive outbound sales efforts, making calls and setting up meetings to convert prospects.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Develop strong client relationships, building trust and credibility through strategic selling.
- Collaborate with sales, merchandising, and account management teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and retention.
- Represent the brand at industry events and tradeshows, advocating for Hal Leonard’s portfolio.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract signing and account transition.
- Optimize account performance, ensuring customers have everything they need for ongoing success.
- Track all activities in CRM, ensuring accurate reporting and pipeline visibility.
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of sales B2B experience, preferably in outbound or proactive sales.
- A hunter mentality – you are driven, proactive, and excel at chasing and closing new business.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills to engage and convert prospects.
- Resilient and ambitious, with the ability to overcome objections and drive results.
- A passion for music and the industry, with an understanding of market trends.
- Data-driven approach – able to use analytics to inform sales strategies.
- Tech-savvy – comfortable using CRMs and digital sales tools.
- Adaptability – quick to pivot strategies in response to changing market conditions.
