At the end of 2023 Hal Leonard Company combined with Muse Group (more information you can find here) and together are now a single company that aims to revolutionize the music industry by using their expertise and resources to offer innovative solutions for musicians, teachers and music lovers around the world.
We are looking for a Head of Design, to shape and execute our brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. In this role, you’ll drive creative strategies, oversee design initiatives, and collaborate closely with product teams to enhance user experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and execution of our brand identity, ensuring consistency across all products and touchpoints and aligning the visual identity with the company’s core mission and values.
- Oversee the creative process for all design and branding initiatives, providing visionary leadership for design concepts, visual storytelling, and brand messaging.
- Work closely with product to ensure design and branding align with product objectives, while maintaining an optimal user experience.
- Define and implement creative strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and long-term brand loyalty. Develop plans for all creative initiatives from concept to execution.
- Build, mentor, and lead a creative team.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience in a creative leadership role within companies that manage a portfolio of products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of branding, UX, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and build high-performing teams.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, marketing, and other business units.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and teams effectively.
