We are seeking a Product Designer who will join a team behind two of the world’s leading sheet music e-commerce platforms, Sheet Music Plus and Sheet Music Direct, where musicians, ensembles, and music educators find and purchase music to bring their creativity to life. As a Product Designer, you’ll play a key role in shaping exceptional user experiences that connect musicians with the music they love.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product managers, developers, and data analysts to create cohesive and engaging user experiences across web and mobile platforms.
- Impact the product end-to-end: Be involved in every stage of the product development process, from identifying user needs and defining tasks to designing solutions, implementing them, and analyzing results.
- Enhance the user journey: Focus on improving usability, aesthetics, and conversion across the entire e-commerce experience, ensuring users can easily find, purchase, and enjoy sheet music for their needs.
- Contribute to a unified design vision: Work within a design system and collaborate with other teams to maintain a consistent and delightful experience across both platforms.
Required experience:
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience working in cross-functional product teams, ideally on e-commerce, digital marketplaces, or music-related platforms.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your design process and highlighting impactful projects. Be ready to discuss specific challenges and outcomes.
- Independence and initiative: You’re proactive in seeking data, collaborating with teams, and solving problems. You ask the right questions, study analytics, and go the extra mile to design user-centered solutions.
- Collaboration skills: You thrive in a team environment, are open to feedback, and enjoy collaborating with designers, developers, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
- Holistic thinking: You understand how individual design elements fit into the bigger picture, and your solutions balance user needs with business objectives.
- Aesthetic sense and UX expertise: You prioritize solving user problems but also know how to make interfaces visually appealing and intuitive.
- Testing and iteration: You understand when and how to test your solutions, gather user feedback, and iterate for improvement.
- Technical fluency: Proficient with Figma, prototyping tools, design systems, and leveraging UX research and analytics to inform your work.
- English language proficiency of upper intermediate level or higher
