We are seeking a Marketplace Manager (Amazon) to oversee our global Amazon operations and drive significant sales growth. This role involves managing product listings, advertising, and logistics on a large scale, while developing a comprehensive sales strategy and building strong relationships with Amazon. As a key player in our global e-commerce strategy, this position is critical for optimising product performance and ensuring seamless order fulfillment, directly impacting our international sales and margin objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Product Launch Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive product launch strategy for Amazon (FBM)
- Conduct market research to identify target audiences, key competitors, and potential growth opportunities.
- Create a product assortment matrix tailored to market needs and trends.
- Product Listing Creation and Optimization:
- Develop engaging, high-quality product listings on Amazon
- Utilize A/B testing and other methodologies to identify the most effective content and keywords.
- Growth Opportunity Identification:
- Use data analysis and market insights to identify growth opportunities for products.
- Generate and test hypotheses to improve product performance, customer engagement, and sales conversions.
- Adjust strategies based on testing outcomes to drive sales growth and market penetration.
- Portfolio Metrics Monitoring:
- Constantly monitor the performance metrics of the product portfolio, including sales, traffic, conversion rates, and customer feedback.
- Provide regular reports with actionable insights and recommendations for product optimization.
- Full Shipping Cycle Management:
- Oversee the entire shipping process, from shipment creation to coordination with warehouses, production facilities, and logistics partners.
- Ensure that products are shipped efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining a seamless customer experience.
- Handle inventory management to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Cross-Functional Team Coordination:
- Coordinate the efforts of internal and external teams, including marketing, logistics, design, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
- Develop and maintain communication channels between teams to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve issues promptly.
- Work closely with content creators to produce marketing materials for Amazon.
- Advertising Campaign Management:
- Develop strategies for paid and organic traffic to drive product visibility and sales.
- Monitor campaign performance and adjust tactics to meet set KPIs and sales targets.
- Pricing and Cost Control:
- Develop pricing strategies based on market research, cost analysis, and competitive positioning.
- Monitor expenses related to advertising, shipping, and logistics, ensuring efficient use of resources to maximize profitability.
Required experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing sales on Amazon (FBM)
Advanced knowledge of Amazon Seller Central, including listing creation, PPC campaign management, and data analytics. - Demonstrated success in launching and optimizing products on Amazon, including creating listings, managing advertising campaigns, and driving sales growth.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Experience managing the full shipping cycle, including shipment creation, warehouse coordination, production, and logistics.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor product portfolio performance, advertising ROI, and sales metrics.
- Ability to develop long-term strategies for product launch and sales growth, considering market trends, competition, and business objectives.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in sales, logistics, customer service, and market dynamics.
