Hal Leonard was proud to once again be the headline sponsor of the Youth Music Awards, marking the fifth consecutive year of support for this inspiring event.
Taking place at the iconic Troxy in London, the Awards celebrated 25 years of Youth Music’s tireless work in breaking down barriers and ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to make, learn, and earn in music in the UK. Support for the award furthers Hal Leonard and Muse Group’s commitment to music accessibility in all forms, from developing accessible tools for composers to expanding education access worldwide.
This year’s event brought together a vibrant mix of emerging artists, entrepreneurs, and grassroots projects that are shaping the future of the music industry in the UK. The impressive lineup of judges included the legendary Eve, broadcaster and comedian Amelia Dimoldenberg, the globally renowned DJ duo BICEP, influential DJ and producer Gilles Peterson MBE, and Hal Leonard Europe’s UK Managing Editor Louise Unsworth, the stage was set for another year of bold musical achievements.
A standout moment this year came when Hal Leonard's Bosba Panh presented the Social Action Award to Supermann on da beat, a Scottish Disabled South Asian music producer. Supermann has not only made a name for himself with his genre-blending, boundary-pushing sound but also through his advocacy for greater accessibility in music venues. His campaign for inclusivity has gained national attention, and his work exemplifies the transformative power of music in driving social change. Hal Leonard and Muse were proud to recognise Supermann’s contributions to both the music industry and the disabled community — and we also congratulate fellow nominees Blue Cabin and CHARIS.
"Hal Leonard Europe is proud to be the headline sponsor of the 2024 Youth Music Awards, celebrating the incredible talent and creativity of young musicians across the UK. Congratulations to all the nominees who have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication to grassroots music scene! At a time when the music industry faces many challenges, Youth Music’s work in supporting such projects is more vital than ever. We are honoured to support them in their mission to create opportunities for the next generation of artists and help shape the future of music.” ~ Oliver Winstone, Head of Business Development, Hal Leonard Europe
