Head of Copywriting at Muse Group
Muse Group is a music technology company that develops content apps and web platforms. All are designed to support online communities, providing sheet music, audio and guitar tablature, audio editing, music education, and music notation software.
We currently reach over 400 million users worldwide through our portfolio of Ultimate Guitar, MuseScore, Audacity, StaffPad, and more.

We are looking for a Head of Copywriting in our team, who will collaborate closely with design, research, and content.

Key responsibilities:
  • Build & lead copywriters/editors community (hiring, professional development, retention, coordination).
  • Include good copywriting in the work processes of every team that ships something to users.
  • Create Tone of Voice guidelines on three levels: write without errors, write simple, and write on brand. Lead the working group consisting of design, brand, communications, and marketing.
  • Setup copy quality assurance. Find a way to do it in a decentralized product organization.
  • Teach non-copywriters (product designers & product owners) to write simple UX copy themselves.
  • Do copywriting for strategic projects personally.

Required Experience:
  • Native English speaker, who worked as a copywriter, editor, or tech writer for 3+ years.
  • Wrote copy in at least 2 of 4 key areas: Product, Marketing communications, Support, PR
  • Led at least small or tiny teams.
  • It's a solid benefit if you have experience as a musician or previous experience writing for a music company.
