Muse Group is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the marketing strategy and vision for the world's most popular software and communities for musicians.
We are looking for an experienced marketing manager and innovative thinker to join our Executive Team.
You will develop the marketing strategy for the company and manage the marketing team responsible for all marketing and communications related to our portfolio of brands, including: Ultimate Guitar, Audacity, StaffPad, MuseScore, MuseClass, and Tonebridge.
An ideal candidate will have had experience in a similar role leading a global team for a technology-driven business supporting hundreds of millions of users. You should have a strong familiarity with the unique challenges faced in promoting desktop, mobile, and web applications and platforms.
This is a great role for someone extremely ambitious and creative, who can take on the challenge of rebranding the entire portfolio and creating a unified marketing strategy that leaves room for the distinct personalities and audiences of each individual brand.
Role & Responsibilities
Participate in the overall strategic direction of the company as a member of the Executive Team
Develop high-level marketing strategies within context of overall business strategy and goals
Lead rebranding efforts of an entire portfolio of well established brands
Lead execution of marketing roadmap and deliverables
Lead design of platform and services architecture for a multi-product ecosystem
Define culture, standards, and processes for marketing team
Manage marketing team (hiring, dismissal, personal development)
Make decisions that balance marketing goals with economic requirements
Adapt to unexpected events or sudden market shifts
Achieve consistent results - individual and team
Identify gaps in current resources (skills, knowledge, headcount) and recommend solutions
Balance short term needs with long term goals or technical ideals
Communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)
Successfully developed and executed marketing strategies
Expanded brands into new markets and countries
Built and managed high-performing marketing teams
Experience in marketing for consumer software
Experience in managing marketing efforts for a collection of brands and a range of products
Knowledge of the music and audio technology industry, including latest trends and competitive landscape
