We are looking for a Remote Lead Copywriter to join our Muse Group team, leading writers at Muse to create high-quality, emotive copy across product and marketing. You’ll collaborate in all areas of the company, to ensure the guidelines are followed and great work is made. Strong creative copywriting knowledge and experience are essential. Maternity cover period from February 2025 for a one-year contract.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take the copy to 11 use your creative directional skills in your copy reviews to bring that special something to the project
- Get your hands dirty this role is perfect for anyone who enjoys the creative direction and review side but doesn't want to lose those satisfying little writing jobs
- Keep standards high make regular contact with stakeholders to ensure every piece of copy adheres to the standards and guidelines, and that you're up-to-date with new initiatives
- Initiate and lead projects if you see an opportunity, make it happen from idea to execution, and results
- Plan and coordinate team resources to ensure that projects are implemented on time
- Mentor the writing team and share your knowledge through feedback, 1-1s, and focus on goals
- Manage quarterly project planning and OKRs reporting successes and fails
- Run brainstorms to boost creativity in our ideas.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of experience in a managerial copywriting position (ACD/CD/Head of Copy/Editor)
- At least 10 years of experience as a creative copywriter in-house or agency
- Strong creative direction skills, to turn good work into great work with your feedback
- Passion for music and a drive to help musicians around the world
- Keen eye for detail and knowledge of best practices in copywriting for both marketing and product
- Confident in all media: UX&UI, scripts, CRM, SEO, both long and short-form, and performance marketing
- Strong understanding of tone of voice, brand, conceptual thinking, and emotive writing for varying audiences
- A good knowledge of inclusive and accessible writing practices and the ability to write for a global audience
- Team management skills
- Be a decision-maker and possess problem-solving skills
- Strategic mind, able to initiate important projects and experiments based on overall company strategy
- Proven ability to work on multiple tasks at a time, meet deadlines, prioritize and delegate tasks
- Native-level English fluency.

- In-depth knowledge of music: basic music theory, experience with instruments, and a love of multiple genres, from pop to rock to classical
